Be My Valentine

Happy Hearts Day!

In preparation for Valentine's Day and just because I like hearts (awwww!), I'm currently creating a mini collection of original bag designs, all limited edition for a limited time. A few of my inspirations: Hearts, plaid, kilts, sport chic, flowers and candy boxes. (There are subthemes but that's the gist of the main one.) The bags I'm creating are meant to be functional, modern and clean pieces of wearable art to carry around your essentials, and all have my personal mark and style that is a little bit American with a European flair. Enjoy :-)

A candy heart that won't give you cavities:

A peekaboo heart in a slouch tote:

Dudes! It's a tartan heart with a piercing, because it's a little bit punk.

A big thank you to those who support my work and respect my creativity!

"French Made" Hand Tote

One of my latest: A hand tote inspired by my "Be My Valentine" workbook page. A valentine lace doily on black, with pretty little gingham ribbon. It reminds me of a French maid's uniform, so I'm calling this one (surprise!) "French Made". Tee hee.

Be My Valentine!

Late last week I was looking through my workbook and came upon some visuals and fabric bits I had thrown together earlier this year for a tentatively titled "Be My Valentine" theme.

Because I really am a romantic at heart [awwwww!] who loves Valentine kitsch I'm creating some accessories using my workbook page as inspiration. Keep an eye on my shop for those lovey dovey sweet goodies I'm putting together in my free time.

P.S. Did you know that you can subscribe to my etsy shop via my shop's RSS feed? Well, you can. Tortilla Girl has an RSS feed as well. Hoorah!
