Baby Cable Pom Hat (Cute!)

Remember that scarf with the pompoms that I knit a little while back?

The kind buyer who ordered it wanted a cable hat to go along with it, so I came up a variation of my cabled beanie for it. The pom is so cute. Ah. I want to hug it.

I just love that cable rib, it's so stretchy! Here's my youngest son modeling it. (If you follow me on instagram, you got a peek at this photo already.)

Pom. So. Cute. Can't. Staaaand. It.

Cable Knit PomPom Scarf Oh Yeah

scarf_babycablepom_cross2.jpg

I made this merino rib cable scarf with pom poms at the request of a customer, who wanted it for her child. Now Max wants me to make him one in "white, purple, gray, blue and red" [because clearly he thinks he's a 4 year old version of Doctor Who]. Oh, and without the pom poms. Darn. I like me some pom poms.

It's here (and can be ordered with or without pompoms):

We're having spectacular weather.

At the Parc Bourran this Sunday (where I got a raging allergy attack. But, Spring!):

In knitting news, a customer wanted a close fitting cowl to match her Camila hat, and I came up with this:

I like it so much I'm putting it in the shop.

New colors:

(I love the smell of new yarn in the morning.)

I've just received four new colors in my favorite mer-i-noooo! Beige (a shade darker than stone), woodland (a heather brown), blue and purple. Now any of my creations made of this fiber can be ordered in any of these colors. Yay.

We Like Chunky.

cowl_tricot_lilac.jpg

I'm having so much fun knitting up these little circle scarves. The yarn is really cool: It's not spun, but is a tube made up of rows of knit stitches. When knit up it creates a wonderful texture.

Right now I have just one each in the lilac shown above, blue and green. One more is coming in gray. And I think that will be about it!

hat_pomlace_back.jpg

The PomPom Lace Slouch is brand new this fall! Vintage inspired and romantic, this hat is made of the beautifully polished, high end merino wool spun in Italy that I have grown to love. The lace stitch makes it versatile so it works for any season. Currently available in my shop in stone (pictured), cream, gray, red, chocolate, charcoal, black and (very soon) metal gray.
