Penelope Cruz in Vogue Paris

I just got my latest copy of Vogue Paris in the mail. It's all about Penelope Cruz, but on the cover is Meryl Streep [we love you, Meryl!], Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Watts, Julianne Moore and Kate Winslet. First of all, Meryl Street stole the show. She's the first thing I saw when I first looked at the cover* because, again, I love Meryl. After that I saw Penelope Cruz, because Vogue told me so with its "numéro special par Penelope Cruz" in big, bold, neon orange typeface so I kinda had no choice but to look for her on the cover. But what really blew me away was Kate Winslet. Hello! I didn't recognize her. Seriously. It wasn't after I read her name on the cover that I searched her out and realized, "Dude! That lady on the far left rocking that fierce look and smiling with her eyes with the wind in her hair is Kate Winslet". She looks good, but not like herself. Which is a little bit of a shame because she as herself always looks good, and it would have been nice to have immediately recognized her when I first saw the cover, like the way I recognized Meryl Streep.

And that is all.
