Oh la la. I cannot sing enough praises for black linen. This one is lightweight and transparent, but not see-through. All cause it's black. Love, love, love.

I wanted to make something floaty using a bit of drape (clearly, I'm still on my pre-Raphaelite kick), which is something I'll be doing for my fall/winter things. For this dress I gathered the sides into machine-stitched pleats, which gives a "let me dip my feet in the water without getting my hem wet" effect.

This dress, currently in my Etsy shop, is the last of the "summery" things. After August I'll be going into Indian summer/fall mode.
